Welcoming the New Apprentices to The Affinity Group

Published On: 11/09/2025

At The Affinity Group, we are proud to announce the arrival of our newest apprenticeship cohort (number four to be exact!). We’re so pleased that these talented individuals are beginning their professional journey with us, and we’re excited to support them as they develop their skills.

In this blog we’ll highlight what makes the Affinity Apprenticeships programme special, why apprenticeships are so important, and how our newest recruits will help shape the future of our business.

Why Apprenticeships at The Affinity Group Matter

Choosing an apprenticeship is more than just taking your first steps into the workplace, it’s a career launchpad. At The Affinity Group, our apprenticeship programme combines professional qualifications, hands-on work experience, and career progression.

The key benefits of our Affinity Apprenticeships include:

  • Multi-Department Experience Apprentices gain insight across all our departments, learning how accountancy, payroll, and tax services connect.
  • Professional Study Support They’re given dedicated study time, guidance with courses, and tailored on-the-job training with senior team members.
  • Inclusive Culture & Perks – From team lunches to dress-down days, seasonal parties and much more, our apprentices are part of a vibrant, supportive workplace.
  • Career Pathways – Apprenticeships often lead to long-term roles, with many of our apprentices progressing into senior positions within the group. Our Director and Head of SG Accounting started out as an apprentice.

By combining real-world experience with qualifications, our apprenticeships provide the perfect foundation for a career in professional services.

Meet Our New Apprentices

This year’s apprenticeship intake will be studying for their Level 3 AAT apprenticeship in Accounting and Finance. Each apprentice brings unique skills, enthusiasm, and a desire to grow within a professional environment, and the wider team are excited to get to know them all!

We’ve already seen the impact apprentices can make, with and anticipated 20% of Affinity’s entire workforce being made up of Affinity Apprentice graduates by the end of 2025.

Our new apprentices will follow in these footsteps, balancing study with meaningful client work and contributing to the culture that makes The Affinity Group what it is.

The Future of Apprenticeships at The Affinity Group

Apprentices are the future of our business, and by investing in young professionals, we ensure we stay innovative, current, client-focused, and adaptable. Apprenticeships allows us to:

  • Bring new ideas and digital skills into the workplace.
  • Secure local talent that focuses on growing our accounting community within Dorset and the surrounding areas.
  • Strengthen our accounting, payroll, and tax teams with fresh, new talent.
  • Build a strong pipeline of professionals who grow with us.
  • Develop a workplace culture where learning and collaboration thrive.

We are excited to see how our new apprentice cohort will continue our traditions and help us deliver on our mission of making a difference every day.

Thinking about an Affinity Apprenticeship?

Sadly, our intake for the 2025/26 year has now come to an end, but we will be on the lookout for fresh, new talent in the early summer months of 2026. If you’re considering a career in accountancy, tax, people management, business administration, or digital marketing, an apprenticeship at The Affinity Group offers the best of both worlds: qualifications and hands-on experience.
