Accounts Assistant & Bookkeeper

The Affinity Group is currently looking to recruit an ambitious Accountants Assistant & Bookkeeper. Established in 1995 the group provides specialist accountancy services to contractors, freelancers and SMEs, and their aim is to become the most respected in this field in the UK.

Your role

Your role as an Accounts Assistant & Bookkeeper will include:

  • Focusing on client service and meeting the day to day demands of the clients
  • Review client records and input into software (typically VT & Xero)
  • Preparing and submitting client VAT returns
  • Monthly reconciliations
  • Data processing and reconciliation

About you

For this position you should:

  • Have previous accounts practice experience
  • Be proficient at using excel
  • Be comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • Be personable and a confident communicator
  • Be comfortable in managing and overseeing a small team
  • Be a good team player and willing to help others

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wimborne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)
